Boys & Girls Club is looking for a Lead Youth Development Professional to join our Lincoln, NE team!

What You'll Do!

The Lead Youth Development Professional plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. These individuals model honesty, respect and responsibility. The ideal candidate aims to engage every student, is mission driven and has a knack for building collaborative and meaningful relationships with members, volunteers and program participants.

What We Offer!

  • $16.00 an hour

  • Employee Assistance Program – A free benefit that promotes employee health and well-being. (Counseling and problem-solving, resources to assist with life’s daily challenges, consultation and referral services).


Available Hours

Part-time hours, Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm

What You'll Have!

  • Contribute to creating a positive Club environment that facilitates the achievement of youth development outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, Health Lifestyles and Promotion of Program Key Focus Areas.

  • Promote and stimulate program participation, register new members and participate in their club orientation process.

  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members.

  • An understanding and knowledge of the mission and objectives of Boys & Girls Clubs.

  • Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.

  • Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of branch at all times. Prepare periodic activity reports.

  • Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly branch staff meetings.

  • Communicate effectively and exhibit excellent relationship building skills with students, parents, Park and BGC staff and management.

  • Demonstrated ability to critically assess situations, solve problems, work effectively under stress, within deadlines and in emergency situations.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work, to program locations. May be required to drive Club van.

  • Flexible to accommodate your schedule working up to 35 hours weekly.

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Successful completion of a background investigation is required.
