Lincoln, NE – The Burlington Capital Foundation recently granted $10,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Lincoln/Lancaster County in support of their capital campaign. With this campaign, Boys & Girls Club is partnering with Duncan Aviation to stand up a new workforce development and technology center that will be located at North Star High School. The facility, which will be a shared space between the two organizations, will be used for Duncan Aviation’s new aviation focus program and for Boys & Girls Club’s after school programming.
Located in Omaha, Nebraska, Burlington Capital is an alternative investment management firm that pursues innovative business ventures through its experience, knowledge and relationships in the areas of real estate, international agribusiness and private equity. Their foundation is an outlet for tracing the roots of Burlington Capital back to its founding family in Omaha and surrounding communities.

Boys & Girls Club plans to be running programs out of their workforce and technology center by fall 2022. In collaboration with Duncan Aviation, the largest privately owned business jet service provider in the world, Boys & Girls Club will be introducing students to the world of aeronautics. They will also offer classroom lessons, hands-on courses, work-based learning and access to higher education opportunities. Boys & Girls Club seeks to provide high-quality programming to all kids, where cost is not a barrier to entry.
